The City Council of Terrassa, through the Employment Service and the Office of Diversified Capabilities and Accessibility has produced a video aimed at sensitizing the business of the city to hire people with disabilities. The video, lasting nine minutes, shows the success stories of Axioma Soluciones, a company linked to MútuaTerrassa specializing in comprehensive solutions and support services in the health sector, and Improtec, a family business specializing in packaging and tapes Adhesives, both employing and working with people with disabilities in their workforce. The clip also provides practical tips for companies to achieve successful job placements and reveals the benefits of hiring people with disabilities with different professional backgrounds, both in large companies and in small and medium-sized businesses.

This awareness action is part of the Local Plan for Attendance to Diverse Capacities and Accessibility 2016-2020, and is part of the cross-cutting work of the City Council to improve the inclusion of people with disabilities in the labor market.

The Employment Service has a specific insertion service available to companies that want to incorporate people with diverse capabilities. It uses a methodology which is based on the support of a work counselor, who offers, among other services, advice, training, support at the place of work, and individualized and continuous support for both jobseekers and contracting companies. In 2017, 19 companies from the territory employed 77 people with disabilities with the intermediary of the Employment Service.
